2 Soldiers Injured In Terror Attack Near Army Camp In Nagrota Near Jammu

Two soldiers have been injured in a terror attack near an army camp in Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Firing is still on between the army and the terrorists. The terrorists targeted the artillery unit at the camp in Nagrota, around 20 km from Jammu and on the highway, around 5.30 am and opened fire. Reports suggest around two-three terrorists are hiding in the area. Nagrota is the headquarters of the army’s 16 Corps, which is directly involved in defending the greater Jammu region. The army has cordoned off the area and all schools have been shut down. Traffic has been stopped on the highway. In a second incident, the Border Security Force intercepted a group of terrorists attempting to cross over at the International Border at Ramgarh in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector. Firing is still on between the soldiers and the terrorists. There has been a spurt in attacks and infiltration attempts by terrorists from across the border over the past few weeks. In September, 19 soldiers were killed when terrorists from Pakistan attacked an army base in Uri. A few days later, the army carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control targeting staging areas for terrorists planning to attack Indian cities.
