Vijayawada: The much-talked about and much-awaited fibernet project is all set to be a reality in a week. This would mean that every house in the State would have internet, television and telephone connection for just Rs 149 a month. The project launched by the State government as part of the Digital India programme of the Central government had finally set to become a reality. AP would be the first State in the country offering internet to the door steps of the people at the lowest price. To make it a reality, the State government had used the existing electricity poles across the State to lay surface cables to provide these services as against the underground cables proposed by the Central government in the Digital India scheme. The CM had created a Fibernet Corporation in the State that had executed the work across the State in a record time. The prestigious project of both the State and the Central governments would be a reality in the next one week if everything goes as per the plan.
